We provide advanced dental care to patients with complex and/or severe oral conditions. This care is provided by qualified dentists undertaking further specialized training in disciplines that the Institute is targeted. At IAD-MSC, Faculty staff together with postgraduate students have access to comprehensive diagnostic approaches and treatments, delivering evidence-based clinical care.

由合資格的牙醫為患有複雜和/或嚴重口腔疾病的患者提供先進的牙科護理。牙醫同時進一步接受專門學科的培訓。

About the Institute

The Multi-Specialty Clinic (“IAD-MSC”).

IAD-MSC is a multi-specialty dental practice established under the University of Hong Kong, dedicated to serve the Hong Kong community. It offers advanced dental care to patients with complex and/or severe oral conditions. This care is provided by the Master degree students from different clinical disciplines that the Institute is targeted.

At IAD-MSC, Faculty staff together with postgraduate students have access to comprehensive diagnostic approaches and treatments, delivering evidence-based clinical care. IAD-MSC will also provide important learning opportunities for Bachelor of Dental Surgery students to be exposed to and learn about advanced dental care and patient management with a team of dental specialists.

Patients of all ages benefit from the modern state-of-the-art facilities, collaborative treatment approach, and personalized dental care. IAD-MSC offers patient services with efficient centralized booking, easy inter-specialty referrals, and several dental specialties in one central location.

香港大學牙醫專科診所乃一所由香港大學成立，致力服務香港社會的牙科診所。由修讀不同專科的臨床碩士生為患有複雜和/或嚴重口腔疾病的患者提供先進的牙科護理。

在專科診所, 受訓的牙醫在合資格的臨床專家監督下，學習進深的牙科治療。而牙醫學士課程的本科生亦有機會在診所接觸先進的牙科專科知識，並在專家帶領下，以團隊為本的角度學習為治理患者治理。

「牙醫專科診所」除了為受訓牙醫提供臨床培訓，同時亦為大眾提供較可負擔的服務，包括高效率的預約、簡易跨專科的轉介和會診。而診所接受全港牙醫轉介複雜或嚴重口腔疾病的個案，患者只要持有註冊牙醫簽發的轉介信，便可聯絡診所預約。

The Multi-Specialty Clinic ("IAD-MSC") is a self-financed specialist training clinic. All treatments rendered are on fee for service basis. The objective of IAD-MSC is to provide facilities for the training of qualified dentists to further their education and research in postgraduate and continuous training.

香港大學牙醫專科診所乃自資的牙科醫生培訓診所。所有治療均按服務收費。專科診所旨在為合資格牙醫提供培訓和相關設施，以進一步推動他們的碩士課程和持續培訓中的教育和研究。

As a non-government dental clinic in Hong Kong, we aim to service the community at a reasonable and affordable fee. Being a specialist training clinic, we provide specialized treatments in the various specialties of dentistry.

Qualified clinical specialists who are members of the Faculty teaching staff will work together and supervise resident dentists under training at IAD-MSC.

All patients are required to complete a "Teaching Patient's Declaration Form" on registration and are advised to read the "Statement of Collection of Personal Information from Patients" before registration.

If you are under age 18, you must be accompanied by your parent/guardian for initial examination. We shall inform you if your dental problems are suitable for the abovementioned designated teaching or research purposes. If so, in due course, you shall be given scheduled appointments for treatment or further assessment. If not, treatment will not be guaranteed but you shall be advised of your dental problems and to seek further dental or medical attention or treatment elsewhere.

如求診者未滿 18 歲，須由求診者父母/監護人陪同下進行初步檢查。如求診者的牙科問題適合以下指定教學範疇，我們會通知求診者作預約治療或進一步評估。假若是不適合的，診所不能保證能提供治療。但會告知求診者的牙科問題，好讓求診者能於其地診所或醫院尋求進一步的牙科或醫療護理。

The Right to Know

知情權

Patients have the right to know the name and rank of staff providing services.
求診者有權知道提供服務提供者的姓名和職級。
Patients have the right to know the medical fee or charges in advance.
求診者有權預先知道有關醫療服務的收費。
Patients have the right to know the details of their illness, including diagnosis, progress, investigations, methods and effectiveness of treatment.
求診者有權了解其病情的細節，包括診斷、進展、研究、治療方法和成效。
Patients have the right to know the name, dosage, method of administration, uses and side effects of the prescribed medications.
求診者有權知道處方藥物的名稱、劑量、用藥方法、用途和副作用。
Patients have the right to know the purposes and common complications of any treatment procedures or investigations before they are performed, and whether there are any other alternatives.
求診者有權在進行任何治療或研究前知道其目的和常見併發症，以及是否有任何其他替代方案。
Patients have the right to obtain the information concerning their illness. They have the right to obtain a medical report or a copy of the medical record from relevant medical institutes or doctors. A fee may be required, so patients should ask in advance.
求診者有權獲得有關自己病情的資料。求診者可向有關醫療機構或醫生申請索取醫療報告或病歷副本。有關方面可能會收取所需費用，求診者應預先詢問。

The Right to Decide

決定權

Patients have the right to decide whether to accept or refuse any medical advice from doctors. If patients decide to refuse the suggestions from doctors, they should understand the consequences of their decision and be responsible for it.
求診者有權決定是否接受醫生的任何醫療建議。如求診者決定拒絕醫生的建議，求診者需明白及承擔相關後果。
Patients have the right to seek a second opinion before deciding to accept any treatment.
求診者有權在決定接受任何治療前諮詢不同醫生的意見。

The Right to Privacy

資訊保密權利

Patients have the right to have their privacy respected.
求診者有權讓他們的隱私受到尊重。
Without patients’ express consent, any information disclosed by patients during the process of management of their illness should be kept confidential.
未經求診者明示同意，求診者在疾病處理過程中披露的任何資訊必須保密。

The Right to Complain

投訴權利

Patients should understand and exercise their own “right to know” and try to communicate with medical personnel. This can ensure a better understanding of their own illness and treatment process. If finally, they are still dissatisfied with the care they received, they can launch a complaint. Please email any complaints to complaint.iad@hku.hk or approach a Patient Care Assistant at the reception.

求診者應了解並行使其知情權，同時嘗試與醫務人員溝通。以確保自己對疾病和治療過程有更佳的認知。倘若仍對所接受的護理有所不滿，求診者有權投訴。如有任何投訴，請發送電子郵件至: complaint.iad@hku.hk 或聯絡前台病人服務助理。

Do NOT open suspicious and / or unexpected emails and their attachments.

Clinic patients, visitors & public should follow the measures below:

香港大學牙醫專科診所 (“本診所”)禁止正接受隔離令的2019冠狀病毒病確診者進入。所有人士如有發燒或病徵，切勿前來本診所，並應立即尋求適當診治。

本診所職員如對求診者的狀況有懷疑，可拒絶向其提供服務。

所有到訪人士必須佩戴外科口罩。

COVID-19 infected persons who are currently under isolation order will be denied entry into HKU IAD-MSC (the Clinic). People with fever or symptoms should refrain from

visiting the Clinic and seek appropriate medical treatment immediately. The Clinic staff may refuse to provide service to any person if there is doubt on the condition of the person concerned.

All visitors must wear a surgical mask.
